Perfectly Delightful: The Life of Harvey Ladew
On Tuesday, August 10, 2021, at 12:30 pm, Maryanna Skowronski, the Director of the Historical Society, will give an illustrated presentation on the life of Harvey Ladew from his boyhood in New York City to his years on Long Island through his final years in Harford County. One of society’s favorite bon vivants, Harvey Ladew ‘s story is that of Industrial Age wealth and a life lived to the fullest.
Ms. Skowronski is a noted freelance writer in the field of equestrian sport and has enjoyed a lifelong connection to equestrian sports. This interest prompted her research into the life of Harvey S. Ladew, former Master of Foxhounds of the Elkridge-Harford Hunt and owner of Pleasant Valley Farm, now Ladew Gardens.
