Get Jazzed at the Armory

Three musicians dressed in shirts and ties; one sitting, others standing on either sideThe historic Bel Air Armory will feature an evening of Jazz with the Defractions Jazz Band on Saturday, May 18, 2013. Whether finessing the beautiful jazz standards such as Satin Doll, Bye-Bye Blackbird and Take Five or the contemporary jazz renditions of Sade, Frankie Beverly and Bob James, Defractions Jazz Band heralds a new level of musicianship and creativity.

Original members of the band include Samuel Frazier on keyboards and John Jones on bass guitar.  Stafford Levy rounds out this trio with his solid and smooth support on the drums. Their quest to create their “own sound” is the central theme to their presentation of original compositions and their interpretation of compositions by other standout artists.

With their emotionally intense and impressive performances, along with smooth, danceable and tuneful songs, Defractions will capture the attention and recognition of audiences for years to come.

Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 at the door and include light refreshments. There will also be a cash bar. Please call 410.638.5323 for tickets and information.
